Darren Forman fundraiser at Tremaine Park in Waynetown

WAYNETOWN — August 29, 2020
A show of support came together for a fellow firefighter Darren Forman last Saturday.
A fundraiser at Tremaine Park in Waynetown brought together a community to help Forman's family with medical expenses. Forman was a Crawfordsville Fire Department firefighter, and community paramedic, who also serves as Montgomery County Coroner and as Chief of Coal Creek Volunteer Fire.
Forman was awarded Paramedic Hero of the Year in May of 2019 from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security and Indiana Fire Chief’s Association. He received the Child Safety Advocate Award in June 2019 from the Indiana University School of Medicine Automotive Safety Program. In 2016, he was recognized by the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau for Excellence in Service.

The waterball tournament went on for over two hours. It involved fire departments from all over. The winning team was from Plymouth Indiana.
