Art in Bloom presented by Fifth Third Private Bank returns 3/31 through 4/3
The second annual event returns with show stopping floral arrangements created by 26 artists
INDIANAPOLIS, March 10, 2022
Art in Bloom presented by Fifth Third Private Bank returns to the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA) at Newfields Thursday, March 31 through Sunday, April 3. During this second annual weekend event guests can see art and nature collide with spectacular floral arrangements in the IMA Galleries.
“Fifth Third Private Bank is thrilled to be partnering with a cornerstone arts organization like Newfields. Art in Bloom is a great example of their dedication to bringing art to life and making it accessible throughout any season. We’re looking forward to an incredibleweekend filled with flowers as far as the eye can see!” said Nancy Martin, Managing
Director, Fifth Third Private Bank.
Each arrangement is inspired by an artwork in the IMA permanent collection and designed by talented local and regional florists and floral designers. The show will include five monumental showstoppers, including one in the newly reopened Clowes Pavilion, and 21 pedestal designs, all sure to captivate guests with green and brown thumbs alike.
“We are all so excited to once again see and share the creativity and floral artistry of such an extraordinarily talented group of designers. Art in Bloom is the perfect way to welcome spring and get energized for all the beauty that will begin blossoming with the arrival of warmer weather” said Jonathan Wright, The Ruth Lilly Director of The Garden and Fairbanks Park.
The event was kicked off with the Art in Bloom Opening Reception sponsored by Fifth Third Private Bank on Wednesday, March 30. This event will provide guests with a sneak preview of Art in Bloom as well as a wine portfolio show hosted by the Newfields Culinary team and Republic National Distributing Company.
This year Art in Bloom will feature a robust schedule of activities for guests to enjoy. Live music, artist demonstrations and ASK ME! Docents will happen throughout the weekend. Other activities such as art classes, a film screening of MIDSOMMAR (rated R) and orchid classes require a separate ticket that can be purchased in advance.
