People before Politics
INDIANAPOLIS— by Ron McCann
The IndyTimes.us received an invitation to join Indianapolis Mayoral Candidate, John P. Schmitz for breakfast at the Refuge Place Indy. Located on the near east side of Indianapolis the Refuge Place caters to our homeless citizens, in several ways. Most importantly they specialize in a “hand up” not a “hand out,” and it is done the old-fashioned way, you know that "people helping people" stuff.
It was refreshing to see a candidate working to help with Indy’s homeless ills before elections. Indy can’t lose with a man that puts people in front of Politics. Now if he can just find more people for his #dosomething program. Want to help, let us know.
Watch as we follow this journey. Pray for Tyree Coleman as he works to move the Refuge Place Indy forward in the battle of homelessness. Great news to us is that the Refuge Place is doing their work on donations, ain’t that a hoot. To God be the Glory.
See John’s campaign website at http://www.dosomethingindy.com and http://www.outsideindy.com for the homeless resources
and for more information.
